Hey, it's Dontay !! 

I'm an interdisciplinary artist that creates a wide range of personal and commission based work. 

"Dontay Konkel is a Milwaukee native with a BFA in Film Video and New Genres from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a lifelong student. Dontay is currently pursuing his MFA at California Institute of the Arts. He creates videos, 2D and 3D artwork, sounds, and immersive experiences that explore emotions, ephemerality, and memories as avenues for comprehending the world that surrounds him."

The majority of my work is self-initiated, chaotic, cute, or cathartic. It is focused in capturing the essence of a moment, a person, a life, a place, in abstraction and in motion. I strive to use everyday life in my work to inform and enrich my creative process.

I am experienced in various mediums, focusing on film and video, where I have showcased my work in film festivals across the world. I'm a practiced photographer experienced in many forms and styles including, event, graduation, engagement, product photography and more. I'm versed in 2D art and have designed websites, merchandise, album covers and more.
